Terms of Service
Last updated 12 June 2026. These terms govern your use of the NiveshLens website and product. NiveshLens provides analytics and information only — it is not investment advice.
MUTUAL FUND INVESTMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO MARKET RISKS. READ ALL SCHEME-RELATED DOCUMENTS CAREFULLY. PAST PERFORMANCE IS NOT INDICATIVE OF FUTURE RESULTS.
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“you”, “your” or “User”) and NiveshLens (“NiveshLens”, “we”, “us” or “our”), the operator of the NiveshLens website, web application and related services (together, the “Service”).
By accessing, browsing, registering for or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Risk Disclosure and any other policy referenced here, all of which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
Please read these Terms together with the Nature of the Service and Disclaimers sections below, which limit and qualify what NiveshLens does and does not do.
2. Definitions
- “Account” means the registered user account through which you access the Service.
- “Content” means all data, analytics, ratings, scores, labels, text, graphics, calculators, charts, reports and other materials made available through the Service.
- “FundScore” means NiveshLens’s proprietary, quantitative, backward-looking analytical score and the associated descriptive labels (including, without limitation, “Strong”, “Steady”, “Slipping” and “Weak”).
- “AI Assistant” means the artificial intelligence research assistant feature offered as part of the Service.
- “Pro Plan” means a paid subscription tier of the Service.
- “Third-Party Data” means market data, NAV history, benchmark and index data, scheme disclosures and other information sourced from third parties such as AMFI and the relevant Asset Management Companies, index providers and public data sources.
3. Nature of the Service — Analytics, Not Advice
NiveshLens is an analytics and information service. NiveshLens is NOT a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser or Research Analyst, is NOT a mutual fund distributor or broker, and is NOT an execution or transaction platform. NiveshLens is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (“SEBI”) as an Investment Adviser under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013, nor as a Research Analyst under the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014, nor as a mutual fund distributor with the Association of Mutual Funds in India (“AMFI”).
The Service provides analytics, information, ratings (including FundScore), calculators, up to twenty years of NAV history, portfolio diagnostics and an AI research assistant relating to Indian mutual funds. All such Content is provided strictly for informational and educational purposes.
Nothing on the Service — including FundScore, the labels “Strong”, “Steady”, “Slipping” or “Weak”, any comparison, ranking, percentile, calculator output, portfolio diagnostic or answer generated by the AI Assistant — constitutes investment advice, financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, or a solicitation, offer or recommendation to buy, sell, hold or subscribe to any security, mutual fund scheme or financial product.
FundScore is a quantitative, backward-looking analytical score derived from historical data. It is not a recommendation, an opinion on suitability, a prediction, or any assurance, guarantee or indication of future performance. A scheme ranked highly on the Service today may underperform in the future.
You are solely responsible for evaluating the merits and risks of any investment decision and for any decision you make. You should read all scheme-related documents (including the Scheme Information Document, Statement of Additional Information and Key Information Memorandum) carefully and, where appropriate, consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser, a chartered accountant or other qualified professional before acting. NiveshLens never takes custody of your money or securities, never places or routes orders, and neither pays nor receives any distribution commission.
4. Eligibility
By accessing or using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- you are at least 18 years of age and are competent to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872;
- you are a resident of India, or are otherwise lawfully permitted to access analytics and information regarding Indian mutual funds in your jurisdiction;
- you are not a person barred from receiving the Service under the laws of India or any other applicable jurisdiction; and
- your use of the Service does not violate any applicable law, regulation or any other agreement to which you are a party.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.
5. Account Registration & Security
To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an Account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and to keep that information up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your Account.
- You must not share your credentials, allow any other person to use your Account, or maintain more than one Account without our consent.
- You must notify us promptly at care@niveshlens.in of any unauthorised use of your Account or any other breach of security.
- We may refuse, suspend or cancel registration, or reclaim any username, at our reasonable discretion.
6. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree that you will not, and will not permit or assist any third party to:
- scrape, crawl, spider, harvest, index or otherwise systematically extract Content or data from the Service by any automated or manual means;
- bulk export, copy, redistribute, republish, sell, license, sublicense, rent or otherwise commercially exploit any Content, data, score, label, calculation or report obtained from the Service;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, underlying ideas, algorithms or the FundScore methodology of the Service, except to the limited extent expressly permitted by applicable law;
- probe, scan, test the vulnerability of, circumvent, disable or otherwise interfere with any security, authentication or rate-limiting feature of the Service, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, accounts, systems or networks;
- introduce any virus, malware, worm, trojan or other harmful code, or take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure or that disrupts, degrades or interferes with the proper working of the Service;
- use the Service to develop, train or improve any competing product, dataset, model or service;
- use the Service in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, obscene or otherwise objectionable, or that violates any third-party right; or
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or impersonate any person or entity.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and all Content (other than Third-Party Data and content you supply) — including the NiveshLens platform, software, source code, the FundScore methodology, scores and labels, the user interface, design, look and feel, text, graphics, logos and the “NiveshLens” and “FundScore” names and marks — are owned by or licensed to NiveshLens and are protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to access and use the Service and Content for your own personal, non-commercial research and information purposes only.
Third-Party Data — including NAV history, scheme and holdings disclosures, benchmark and index data — remains the property of, and is used under the terms of, its respective owners (including AMFI, the relevant Asset Management Companies and index providers). Your use of such data is subject to those owners’ terms, and nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of Third-Party Data to you.
Where you upload, enter or submit content to the Service (for example, portfolio holdings, transactions or a Consolidated Account Statement), you retain ownership of that content. You grant NiveshLens a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process and display such content solely to operate and provide the Service to you.
8. Third-Party & Market Data
The Service relies on Third-Party Data sourced from AMFI, Asset Management Companies, index and benchmark providers and other public sources. Such data is ingested, transformed and displayed on an “as is” basis.
NiveshLens does not originate this data and does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, currency or timeliness of any Third-Party Data. Such data may contain errors, omissions, delays or interruptions arising from the source, from transmission, or from our processing. NAV data is typically ingested on a delayed, end-of-day basis, and holdings disclosures are published periodically by AMCs with a customary lag. You should independently verify any data against the primary sources (such as AMC factsheets and SEBI/AMFI disclosures) before relying on it.
9. The AI Assistant
The AI Assistant uses automated language models to generate informational responses about Indian mutual funds based on available data. The AI Assistant is provided for convenience and information only.
- Responses generated by the AI Assistant may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading or otherwise erroneous, and may not reflect the most recent data or events.
- The AI Assistant does not provide investment, financial, tax or legal advice and does not produce any recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security.
- You must not rely on the AI Assistant for any investment or other decision. You should independently verify any information it provides before acting and, where appropriate, consult a SEBI-registered adviser or other qualified professional.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NiveshLens disclaims all liability arising from your use of, or reliance on, the AI Assistant.
10. Subscriptions & Payments
The Service is offered on a freemium basis. A free tier is available, and certain features are offered through a paid Pro Plan, billed on a monthly or annual basis as described on our pricing page.
- Billing. Paid subscriptions are processed by our third-party payment processor, Razorpay. Your card, UPI and other payment instrument details are collected and handled solely by Razorpay under its own terms and privacy policy; NiveshLens does not store your full payment-instrument details.
- Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions are recurring and will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual, as selected) at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account settings or by contacting us at care@niveshlens.in. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle; you will retain Pro access until then, and you will not be charged for the following cycle.
- Pricing & taxes. All prices are stated in Indian Rupees (INR). Applicable taxes are charged in addition to, or are inclusive within, the listed price as indicated at checkout.
- Refunds. Except where a refund is required by applicable law, subscription fees are non-refundable, and we do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial or unused billing periods after a cancellation. Where we choose to offer a goodwill or cooling-off refund, any such refund will be processed to the original payment method via Razorpay.
- Price changes. We may revise subscription prices. Any revised price will apply only from your next renewal after we give you reasonable prior notice; your continued use after the change constitutes acceptance of the revised price.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry the charge and/or suspend or downgrade your access to paid features until payment is successfully made.
11. Disclaimers of Warranty
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NiveshLens disclaims all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
NiveshLens does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that any Content (including FundScore and any Third-Party Data) is accurate, complete, reliable or current, or that any analytics, score, label or output will meet your requirements or produce any particular result. Past performance of any mutual fund is not indicative of future returns, and FundScore and its labels carry no guarantee of future performance.
12. Limitation of Liability
NiveshLens is not liable for any investment losses or for any decision you make on the basis of the Service or any Content. You acknowledge that all investment decisions are made by you, at your own risk and discretion.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall NiveshLens, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, loss of investment opportunity, loss of data, loss of goodwill or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of NiveshLens arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to NiveshLens for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the liability, or (b) INR 1,000 (Indian Rupees one thousand).
13. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless NiveshLens and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents and licensors from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your breach of these Terms or of any applicable law; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right; or (d) any investment or other decision you make in reliance on the Service or any Content.
14. Suspension & Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your Account at any time. We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to all or part of the Service, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe that: (a) you have breached these Terms or any applicable law; (b) suspension or termination is necessary to protect the Service, other users or third parties; or (c) we are required to do so by law or by a competent authority.
On termination, your right to access and use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including those relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law and dispute resolution — shall survive.
15. Force Majeure
NiveshLens shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, epidemic or pandemic, war, civil unrest, terrorism, governmental or regulatory action, changes in law, strikes or labour disputes, failures of telecommunications or internet services, power outages, cyber-attacks, or failures or delays of third-party data sources, payment processors or hosting providers.
16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim.
17. Grievance Redressal
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, if you have any grievance or complaint regarding the Service, you may contact our grievance team:

We will acknowledge your grievance and endeavour to resolve it within the timelines prescribed under applicable law.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update or modify these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, in our business, or in applicable law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date shown at the top of this page. Where the changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice, for example by email to the address associated with your Account or by a notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
19. Notices
We may provide notices to you by email to the address associated with your Account, by posting within the Service, or by other reasonable means. You may send notices to us at care@niveshlens.in. It is your responsibility to keep your contact details current.
20. Severability, Waiver & Assignment
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary, or severed, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
- Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other right or provision.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any of your rights or obligations under them without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of assets.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the policies referenced in them, constitute the entire agreement between you and NiveshLens regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements on that subject.
