IPO FAQs
What is IPO GMP (grey market premium)?
GMP is the unofficial premium at which an IPO's shares change hands in the grey market before listing. It is a sentiment indicator — not an official price, and not a recommendation.
How do I check my IPO allotment status?
Once the basis of allotment is finalised, check on the registrar's site (KFin, MUFG Intime / Link Intime or Bigshare) with your PAN or application number. Each IPO on NiveshLens links to a quick allotment search.
What is the difference between a mainboard IPO and an SME IPO?
Mainboard IPOs are larger companies listed on the main NSE/BSE boards; SME IPOs are smaller companies on the SME platforms, usually with bigger lot sizes and higher risk.
What is the NiveshLens IPO Demand score?
IPO Demand is a 0–100 reading of market sentiment built from the unofficial GMP and the live subscription multiple. It reflects demand, not company fundamentals, and is not investment advice.
